Common Preschool Registration Date Agreement for 2010-2011 School Year

The following preschools have agreed to adopt the last Friday in January as the common date when the first tuition payment is due:   

• All Things Bright and Beautiful Preschool, Kenilworth
• Willow Wood Preschool, Winnetka
• Winnetka Community Nursery School, Winnetka
• Winnetka Public School Nursery, Winnetka

This payment will secure a child’s spot in a school for the following school year.

This procedure will begin with registration for the 2010-2011 school year, with the common registration date being Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. 

Each school may conduct the rest of its registration procedures as it so desires.  

By having a common final deadline date, families will be able to find out which schools have accepted their child and to weigh their options before making a final decision. Moving the registration date from the fall to January will allow teachers to get to know children before making a recommendation for placement for the following school year.

Registration for the 2010-2011 school year will serve as a pilot. The preschools will re-evaluate before permanently adopting this procedure.
